How can I participate in 48 Blocks AC as an artist?

Applications will be available online on Friday, March 15, 2019. There will also be access to paper applications at a few locations throughout Atlantic City, which will be listed on our website.

How can I do a mural project with students & parents from the area?

If you have your own idea & group, please apply. Applications will be available online on Friday, March 15, 2019. There will also be access to paper applications at a few locations throughout Atlantic City, which will be listed on our website.

If you are looking to assist with a mural project, those opportunities will be shared after we select the artists.

Can you promote 48 Blocks AC in my neighborhood?

Yes! We’d love to come to your neighborhood and promote 48 Blocks AC. Please email staff@atlanticcityartsfoundation.org to share your upcoming meeting details and we will coordinate a team member to attend.

Can you paint a billboard on the way into the city?

We love this idea! If someone applies to paint a billboard, we will do our best to facilitate the opportunity.

Will you promote the event on the radio?

We would love the opportunity to promote our programs and organization on the radio. If you or someone you know has a show you would like us to be on please email staff@atlanticcityartsfoundation.com.

Will there be any fundraising events prior to the kick-off party?

We plan to host a “Meet the Artists” fundraising dinner during Mural Week (mid-May). If you are interested in organizing a fundraiser for 48 Blocks AC please email staff@atlanticcityartsfoundation.com.

Why are projects only located in hubs this year, versus throughout the city?

We found that the event was too difficult for people to attend and many projects were produced/performed without an audience. If there are site-specific projects that fit within the parameters of the event, we may allow them to take place outside of the hub locations. Our goal is to increase art access and facilitate engagement with art - by reducing the number of locations we are able to meet this goal.

Will “Mural Tours” run before or after 48 Blocks AC weekend?

Yes. “Mural Tours” will become an ongoing offering from the Atlantic City Arts Foundation. We may not be able to launch prior to the event weekend, but we will continue to offer following the weekend.

Can you create an “arts district” in Atlantic City?

We are focused on creating art throughout all 48 blocks of Atlantic City. We love the idea of AC having an arts district and would suggest bringing this feedback to your local councilperson. The Atlantic City Arts Foundation is an independent non-profit organization; we are not affiliated with city government.
