Applications Due: June 12, 2019 5pm EST
We are currently seeking a LOCAL MURALIST to create a mural in Atlantic City for 48 Blocks AC. The selected artist will be given 7 days –July 22 to July 28, 2019 – to complete their mural.
48 Blocks Atlantic City is a celebration of the artistic talents, creativity, community, culture, and history of Atlantic City. The weekend event will take place June 21-23, 2019, with 48 community-produced projects across the 48 blocks of the city.
In 2019, we added our first-ever Mural Week (May 15-19), supporting the creation of 5 unique, large-scale murals throughout Atlantic City. We are expanding this program, inviting a local artist to produce a large-scale mural July 22-28, 2019.
Our program goals are to increase public access to art, give artistic talent a platform in Atlantic City, and engage the community through the event planning process.
48 Blocks AC is a program of the Atlantic City Arts Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing public access to art and fostering community art education in Atlantic City. The program is produced in partnership with Stockton University.
